Headed to Nepal!

Things are amping up for our upcoming trip to Nepal! We are getting excited and ready to reunite with all of our many friends in Nepal. There are some who are no longer with us and that will be a hard reality to face when we get there but their memories are strong and live on through the work! We will get right to work visiting with producers when we get our feet on the ground and Cameron has been tasked with photographing and gathering producer information. I'm sure he'll do a much better job than I have in the past. We are looking forward to new rubber tire and recycled products, as well as many other new items. I'm looking forward to tweeking a few of our existing items too so that they fit our customers better. We've been gathering up all of your requests and hope to create numerous new fair trade products that will make your businesses also prosper in these hard times. So, I'll hope to update this from Nepal but a lot will depend on how much electricity there is. Namaste, Denise

Ganesh Himal Trading Artisans Featured in Documentary

The Saathi Shelter and Padhma Creations have partnered to create a line of fair trade knitwear for Ganesh Himal Trading that will help women move out of very difficult circumstances and gain economic self sufficiency. The women are learning knitting skills, given counseling and shelter and beginning to live life with self-respect and happiness. Because the women are making a fair wage they are able to be self-sufficient and take care of their children without having to depend on an abusive husband or family.
